I love event based emails. Drawing a line in the sand around dates that you have to act by are grand. Especially when those dates involve getting the gift or looking like a chump. Flower companies, and Flowerbud.com really get it. I know from experience as the timely emails I get from them make me look like I had planned out getting flowers for my wife and mom. And win me points. Who doesn't need points?
Well no matter what you sell, driving campaigns based on real world dates will help you increase conversions and make your subscriber/customer base happy. Whether it is a btob based end of year/quarter email, a budget cycle email, a event like the Final Four or Superbowl, and even Valentines and Christmas... think like your subscriber and give them timely and relevant content. It will win everytime.
